Alison Evans Cuellar, Ph.D,
Chief Statistician
Alison Evans Cuellar is Chief
Statistician and an important resource for defining research
methodologies and advanced analytics. She is a mainstay in the Know
your Network Users practice and is adept at programming and
statistical modeling with extremely large datasets. Her ability to
relate business challenges and opportunities to data is
extraordinary, which has been particularly valuable in engagements
with Sprint, Bell Canada, Sky Broadband, and Microsoft. Alison is a
recognized expert in identifying and evaluating innovative
organizational forms, and their effects on quality, efficiency,
costs, prices, and technology adoption.
In addition to her role at
WaveLength, Alison is an Associate Professor teaching strategy at
George Mason University (GMU) in Fairfax, Virginia and Adjunct
Economist for RAND. She spent 2005-06 as a visiting economist to the
U.S. Department of Justice working on anti-trust issues. From 2001
to 2008, she has taught courses in research methods, statistics, and
in strategic management to graduate and undergraduate students, as
an Associate Professor at Columbia University in New York City. She
is a member of a national collaborative network supported by the
MacArthur Foundation in Washington, D.C. that conducts research on
policy issues.
Alison earned her
undergraduate degree and MBA at the University of Texas at Austin,
and her PhD at University of California, Berkeley.
